“One thing I will miss is the people,” she wrote alongside a video showing Naga and Ben hosting BBC Breakfast while Tomasz reports the weather for BBC News. “These three are just wonderful. And they’re all on the air right now. Brilliant broadcasters, sharp journalists and generous, compassionate friends. What a blessing to meet @TVNaga01 @BenThompsonTV & @Schafernaker.”

Filming her colleagues on a monitor in the studio, Victoria said in the video: “Three of my absolute favorite people are on the air at the same time. I’ve got Tomasz Schafernaker in second place on the BBC. A legend, a fashion hero.

Another person tweeted: “Naga and co are great to watch but I’ll miss you at breakfast Victoria. I know you’ll be a huge success whichever way you go and I have a feeling we’ll see each other again soon as you’re too good to don’t be on our TV.”

Back in August, Victoria announced that she would be stepping down from her BBC television career to pursue another career.

“I wanted to introduce you to something I’ve been thinking about and working on for a while,” she said. “I’m taking a little break from broadcasting and the BBC to explore something new.

“So here I am – at the grand old age of 39 – going back to university. I’m enrolled in a full-time master’s degree, a psychological science that I kind of sold to my parents as part of neuroscience with a certain thinking and feeling thing attached to it.”
