Kelliher also urged people to “always look out for your friends.”

“If it hadn’t been for Bonnie’s friend that she met here, things could have been different,” she said. “She’s the one who realized that Bonnie didn’t come home, who found her in the hospital (because she didn’t have a phone) and was able to reach us. If it weren’t for her, things could have been different. She was so quick and a great support to my family.”

“Bonnie is at a fantastic hospital and the staff is amazing,” Kelliher added. “It’s a long road to recovery, but we’ve had so much support. By sharing this story we hope to save a life or save another person or family who has to go through this. We can’t believe how close we came to losing her.”

“We love you Bonnie happy birthday 🥳”, her message concluded.
