Beyonce will go head to head with Oasis next summer as US superstar books huge UK stadium gigs

POP superstar Beyoncé is set to headline a series of UK stadium concerts next summer – competing with Oasis’ big comeback.

Insiders said the American singer already has five dates planned for the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in north London, with other locations planned.

Liam Gallagher was seen yesterday for the first time since he reconciled with his brother Noel last month to announce a 19-date Oasis tour.

The pair put aside their differences after splitting in 2009 and will play to more than a million fans across the country in July, August and September next year.

Beyoncé’s big concerts will celebrate her latest album no. 1, Cowboy Carter, released in March.

Insiders have told The Sun that major pop artists, including Shakira and Ariana Grande, will also be presenting UK concerts for next year in the coming months.

A music source said: “Beyoncé is going to raise the roof. Demand for tickets will be Oasis-like and will be pitted against the rush of fans to get seats.

“2025 is going to be an amazing year for live music.”

Beyoncé’s eight-day UK stadium tour last year helped boost the economy by £8bn, with billions more to come next year thanks to fans splashing out on travel, hotels and restaurants.

The source added: “Oasis and Beyoncé are top notch and demand for tickets will be high. More than seven million people tried to get Oasis tickets — and Beyoncé’s fans will be out, too.

“Next summer, big artists such as Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Usher and Sabrina Carpenter are also booked to perform in UK arenas.

“The stimulus to the economy will be phenomenal. This is what the public needs now – something to look forward to.”

Catherine Shuttleworth, chief executive of marketing consultancy Savvy, said: “Cities are fighting for Beyoncé to play because she’s generating huge influxes of visitors ready to spend.

‘Forget the oasis’

By Ellie Henman, Bizarre Editor

WHEN my phone rang at 8am this morning with the news of Beyoncé’s mega stadium tour in 2025, I gasped.

“Forget Oasis,” shouted my contact. “Beyoncé is coming to the UK next summer.

“She works at the Tottenham stadium, probably five nights. It’s nailed.”

And just when everything was so horribly bleak, the knowledge that next year was going to be a great summer of music gave me the boost I needed.

It’s not just Oasis and Beyonce coming, because if my sources serve me right, Ariana Grande and Shakira are also planning big concerts in 2025.

This is on top of stars already booked to perform next year, including Usher, Sabrina Carpenter, Gracie Abrams, Dua Lipa, Imagine Dragons and Billie Eilish all performing on UK soil.

It’s more musical heavyweights than you can shake a stick at and it makes my heart sing.

The cost of living crisis is biting us hard, everyone is terrified of heating, and the government is trying to ban smoking in pub gardens.

But when it all seems a little silly, I close my eyes and think of the sun shining down on my shoulders as I dance, horribly, with an overpriced/lukewarm pint of beer in hand to some of my favorite music stars.

The first and most important thing is to decide how I will afford the tickets.

But I have the rest of the winter to sort it out.

“Her tours encourage hotels and restaurants and even salons because people want to look their best.”

Oasis have sold out all available tickets for their first 17 concerts, with two additional shows at Wembley Stadium sold out by ballot.

Liam returned from his holiday home in the south of France this weekend. Yesterday, he was photographed for the first time since the reunion was announced.

Onlookers said he looked relaxed as he walked his rescue dog Buttons near the villa he rents in Gloucestershire with fiancee Debbie Gwyther.

They added: “Liam looked like he didn’t care about anything, let alone the biggest tour of his career looming over him.”
