On May 25, 2022, one of her friends found her hanging herself in her rented apartment in Kolkata’s Dum Dum Nag Bazar and immediately informed the local police. The local police later reached her apartment and her body was sent to RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata for post-mortem. Local police found a suicide note in the apartment, in which Bidisha wrote that she suffered from cancer. During the investigation, one of Bidisha’s friends released a statement in which she spoke about Bidisha’s depression due to relationship problems with her boyfriend. she says,
She had a hot relationship with her boyfriend, which she discussed with her close friends. She was nervous and frustrated. We often try to cheer her up and encourage her to see the bright side of life. She performed well and got the assignment. But she could never get over her relationship problems. “
