Big Brother in racism row as viewers slam Olivia for comment aimed at Yinrun

BIG Brother’s Olivia came under fire from her viewers after she said Yinrun wouldn’t be able to understand her.

The 23-year-old tried to teach her housemates a Scottish song on tonight’s show, but they struggled with her accent.

Kerry told her: “I’ll be honest with you, I don’t recognize a word you said.”

Hallie added, “Not the same, all I got were Donald’s pants.”

Pointing at Yinrun, Olivia blurted out, “If you didn’t understand me, she won’t have a clue what the hell I just said.”

Those watching at home were taken aback by her comment, with one person writing: “Ok – we’ll let that Olivia racism slide. Oh wait, she’s just Asian, never mind…”

Another added: “Did Olivia REALLY just say if you can’t understand me she definitely won’t (then keep pointing the finger at Yinrun!) my freaking jaw is still hanging open! Terrible girl! #racism #BigBrotherUK #getoliviaout.”

While a third added: “Olivia – racism doesn’t make you any less boring.”

And a fourth said: “Usual xenophobia from Olivia. Very on brand.”

Yinrun, 25, is originally from China but lives in Harrogate.

Earlier in the episode, she told Big Brother that she struggles a bit with the language barrier and feels like an ‘outsider’.
