Bilal Musharraf is a Pakistani actuary (chartered accountant) and educationist. He is best known as the son of former Pakistan army chief and president General Pervez Musharraf.

In 1994, Bilal Musharraf started working with a car insurance company called Automobile Insurers Bureau. Until 1997, he worked there as an actuarial analyst. In 1997, Bilal was promoted to senior actuarial analyst at the same company, a position he held until 2000. In 2000, Bilal Musharraf moved to the Greater Boston area in the United States and was employed by Willis Towers Watson as a benefits consultant. There, he worked to develop policies regarding employee benefit plans for employees of Fortune 500 companies. He worked for the company until 2004. In 2004, he left the United States and moved to the United Arab Emirates. From 2005 to 2006, Bilal Musharraf worked as an assistant manager at a firm called Emerging Markets, where he conducted in-depth research on emerging investment opportunities for clients in the global economy. In 2005, Bilal Musharraf returned to the United States and studied for an MBA at Stanford University. After completing his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2007, Bilal interned for several months at a Chinese company called New Hope Group. There, he conducted supply and demand-related research on agricultural and commercial enterprises to help his clients develop productive financial policies. From 2007 to 2009, he served as Vice President at ePlanet Ventures. In 2009, Bilal moved to San Francisco and served as Vice President (Development) of GEMS Education. Under his leadership, GEMS Education established a chain of schools in the United States adhering to the International Baccalaureate (IB) standards. In 2010, Bilal left GEMS Education and started working as the Head of the Translation Department at Khan Academy. As director of the School of Translation, he developed policies to help the organization promote its educational content in non-English-speaking countries. In 2014, he resigned from Khan Academy and continued as director of operations at One Market Capital, LP, where he was responsible for managing operations related to the company’s Frontier Markets investment long/short equity fund. . After two years there, Bilal joined Edmodo in 2016 as Director of Strategic Partnerships. There, he established partnerships with different schools and telecommunications companies, thereby overall improving the quality of education in the United States. In 2019, Bilal Musharraf of the same company was promoted to vice president of global strategy and sent to Singapore. Bilal worked as Edmodo’s vice president for a year. In 2020, he quit his job at Edmodo and moved to London to serve as Vice President (Partnerships) at Noon Academy. In 2021, he was appointed Executive Director of Noon Academy and leads the Noon Open Boundary Learning Enablement (NOBLE) project.
