He then went on to perform in local theater productions, street theater, regional theater and the Eugene O’Neill Theater. His first TV appearance was on the educational program Vegetable Soup in 1976 on New York Public Television. Similarly, his first film, The Taking of Pelham One Two Three, was released in 1974.
