Bills wide receiver Mack Hollins sent a chill down my spine Sunday night football spectators when he showed up at their snow game wearing Buffalo sans shoes. Yes, we are talking about snow skin.
Dressed in a winter all-white outfit, Hollins, 31, was noticeably shoeless when he arrived at Highmark Stadium on December 1.
According to Complex Sports, Buffalo recorded a temperature of just 31 degrees when the players entered the stadium.
Some comments showed concern about Hollins getting frostbite when his cool The game-day look went viral online, with others teasing the wide receiver for his “excessive” hygiene and “shabby look.”

But Hollins spoke repeatedly about his decision to go barefoot before his appearance on December 1 sent fans into a frenzy.
In a February 2023 interview with NBC, Hollins said he had been “shoeless” for about 4-5 years, admitting he had been “kicked out of places” that required shoes.

Hollins told NBC that he thinks “everyone should be barefoot” and that he washes his feet “constantly,” for anyone who cares about their hygiene.
“It’s so funny that people look at me like that because the shoes are definitely dirtier than the feet,” Hollins added, according to NBC.
But walking barefoot isn’t Hollins’ only flaw.

In June 2024, Hollins addressed his unique personality in a Spectrum Sports Net profile. “Going without shoes, having wild hair, eating with your hands instead of dishes, things like that, that doesn’t bother anyone. That’s me,” he said.
“That’s what makes me happy. Do the things that make you happy in life. Like I said, life’s too short to worry about what other people think,” the wide receiver added.

And during training camp this season, he said Sports Illustrated that there are multiple health benefits of walking barefoot.
Hollins stated, “Foot strength, knee strength, ankle strength. You release electrons from your body, so you feel more grounded. You’re cleaner. You move faster. You strengthen your whole body, so your knee doesn’t have to take as much pressure, and your ankle is more developed.”
“Shoes are tools,” he continued. “You wouldn’t walk around with a hammer just because you might knock something in every now and then. Why walk around in shoes just because you might step on something every now and then?”
