Billy Dee Williams shares his thoughts on Donald Glover playing his predecessor Star Wars role, Lando Calrissian.

“I had a nice little lunch with him,” Williams, 86, told the UK magazine Radio Times earlier this month. “He is a wonderful young man. Extremely talented. But I don’t see him… I mean, when it comes to Lando Calrissian, there’s only one Lando Calrissian. I created that character.”

“I told him to be charming — two words!” the actor continued. “That’s all I had to tell him. That’s all I could think of.”
