The English translation only mentions that Mipha is a special word for Link, but the word used in Japanese may actually have a more specific meaning. This word can mean that mutual love between two people has been severed or impossible for some reason. The translation in this sense of the word feels more appropriate to the circumstances of Mipha and Links.
There is another example in the entry that appears after Link is given Mipha’s Grace and goes back to talk to King Dorephan BOTWEnglish translation of change log link. The English entry indicates that the player has obtained one of the champion’s spells, while the Japanese magazine states that Link, written in first person, can now grant Mipha’s wish.
