The broadcaster posted an apology for the sound problem with a sticker in the top corner that read: “Apologies for the sound problem.”

TNT Sports did not have the same sound problems.

However, viewers watching the channel were still aware of the issue due to the use of DAZN’s video feed which posted the apology.

One fan said: “I’ll be asking for a refund.”

Another said: “Someone tell DAZN that boxing is not the kind of sport you watch without the sound.”

A third said: “Every other combat sports promotion is winning tonight because DAZN is screwing up, they lost the Wilder vs. AJ fight and they have no sound for the main event.”

Another said: “Gotta love #DAZN… losing all sound for the AJ vs Wallin fight.”

While a fifth added: “I watch DAZN for seven hours and they turn off the sound on the main fight.”

Ironically, DAZN announced that they had fixed the audio issue just as Joshua sealed his fifth-round stoppage win over Wallin due to a suspected broken nose.

They said: “We are delighted to announce that the audio issue has been resolved! 🎉.”

As well as Joshua’s win, tonight’s “Day of Reckoning” event also saw Joseph Parker go the distance and claim a decision victory over Deontay Wilder.

This result prevented a potential £100m showdown between AJ and the Bronze Bomber, leaving Eddie Hearn to “vomit”.
