Biography of Brad Paisley
He was born in Glen Dale, West Virginia on October 28, 1972. He is 50 years old as of 2023. His father, Douglas Edward Paisley, was a teacher and his mother, Sandra Jean Paisley, worked for the West Virginia Department of Transportation. His ethnic origin is mixed, and his nationality is American (Italian – paternal grandfather, English, German, Scottish).
Brad said his love of country music came from his maternal grandfather, who gave Paisley a guitar when he was eight and taught him to play. He wrote his first song at the age of 13 and even formed a band called Brad Paisley and the C-notes. Paisley soon landed a regular spot on Jamboree USA, which opened the door to success for him.
Paisley attended Glen Dale, West Virginia’s John Marshall High School. He then attended West Liberty State College in West Liberty, West Virginia for two years. His professional career began shortly after he graduated. He is signed to a songwriting contract with EMI Music Publishing and wrote David Kersh’s Another You and David Ball’s Watching My Baby Not Come Back.

On October 6, 2016, Paisley released his second song, “Today,” which debuted at No. 1 on the country’s Digital Songs chart with 41,000 downloads in its first week. Paisley’s 24th No. 1 song, the song reached the top of the Country Aircheck/Mediabase chart.
Recently, he and his wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, partnered with Belmont University to launch a free referral-based supermarket in Nashville to help fund the network.
