Brad Pitt, 60, Embraces Gen Z Trends in Crocs and a Bucket Hat: See His Latest Fashion Flex

Brad Pitt just loves to keep us guessing. With your fashion choices, that is.

The style chameleon, who turned 60 in December, has long been known for his California cool aesthetic, but lately he’s been settling for some looks that are decidedly different. They are not bad! They are simply different!

Take advantage of Pitt’s latest foray into trendy footwear. The actor stepped out in Florida in a monochromatic combination, which he completed with a pair of white Crocs. You know, the shoes that Gen Z is really into right now. The shoes that were so ridiculed when they were first released over 20 years ago that nobody cool wanted to wear them? Yes, those shoes. (We realize that Crocs have always been comfortable and popular. We’re also well aware that they have a history of people hating them! We love Crocs.)

The Babylon the star wore her comfy shoes with an even cozier outfit: a matching fuzzy sweatsuit set in an off-white shade and a padded hat (another trendy piece!) in the same hue. Pitt may have just turned 60, but he seems to be doing everything he can to keep up with the times. It’s not the style of his younger years, but we all evolve as we age.

Just look at the daring shirt he wore to celebrate his birthday with girlfriend Ines de Ramon late last year. This was a statement if ever we saw one. The black and gold shirt looked like a custom piece by God’s True Cashmere, the brand Pitt co-founded. The luxury brand has a limited-edition collection with artist Thomas Houseag (who was also spotted at Pitt’s Los Angeles party), which includes painted shirts similar to the one worn by Pitt. While the actor’s exact number wasn’t available online for sale at the time, similar ones are selling for $6,000 and we think it’s possible the brand and artist created a special piece for Pitt for his big day.

Everything Pitt has done with his style makes sense when you understand the actor’s ethos when it comes to fashion.

“We’re all going to die, so let’s mess up,” he told Variety’s Marc Malkin after deciding to wear a skirt to Express train premiere in 2022. He wore a brown skirt with a matching jacket and a complementary salmon pink button-down shirt for the red carpet event.

But Pitt wasn’t trying to be revolutionary with his choice of skirt. He was in the game for years before that.

According to British VoguePitt predicted that men would add skirts to their wardrobe back in 2004 while promoting his film Troy.

“Men will be wearing skirts until next summer,” Pitt said at the time, according to the outlet. “That is my prediction and proclamation. The film suits both sexes. We went for realism, and the Greeks wore skirts all the time.”
