TikTok @purpzsaur illustrated how in a 6 second clip.

First, the content creator showed viewers a complex numeric image.

He then challenged them to find the 10 numbers inside the illustration.

“Only 0.1% of users can see all 10 numbers,” the statement says about the image.

At first glance, the numbers six, eight and four stand out, but several others remain hidden in the photo.

What did the users see?

“I only see 123468,” one TikTok user said in the comments section.

“I see 12346780 and 00 (infinity),” another person noted.

“I see 12346789 but still can’t find 5,” a third user commented.

Some TikTokers claimed to have seen all 10 numbers, while others shared tips on how users can see specific numbers like five or nine.

How does this illusion work?

There are three types of optical illusions: cognitive, physiological, and literal.

This particular illusion falls into the ‘literal’ category because it works by combining many smaller images to create one large image.

In this case, all nine numbers are combined into one larger image.

“The most famous literal illusions are found in art. Because they are created on purpose, they are not considered illusions at all by some,” writes the New York Museum of Illusions.
