HOLLY Willoughby has been seen for the first time since a terrifying kidnap threat and after she quit her job on This Morning.

The TV presenter, 42, put on a brave face as she was seen out and about with friends on Friday morning.

Holly – who left the ITV morning chat show after 14 years – was also joined by her husband Dan Baldwin and mum Linda at the cinema in London.

For the outing, she chose a casual look, with blonde locks left over her shoulders and minimal make-up.

Holly has understandably kept a low profile as the presenter was allegedly the subject of a kidnapping and murder plot.

At the time, the presenter was forced to step down as host of This Morning and was replaced by colleague Alison Hammond.

It was reported that the star was left “shocked and distraught” while under police guard at the house.

Last month, claims emerged that the threat had left Holly fearful of appearing on live television.

Her duties as host of Dancing on Ice have also been thrown into chaos – as it is still not confirmed whether she will return.

I’m Famous star Josie Gibson is the first candidate to take over from Holly as host of Dancing on Ice.

ITV bosses think she would be perfect for the skating show after her jungle episode became a hit with viewers.

The new series starts in just over three weeks, but Holly has yet to commit after an alleged plot to abduct and kill her was revealed.

While The Sun previously revealed that Stephen Mulhern, 46, is expected to fill the co-host role previously held by Phillip Schofield, 61.

In October, Holly sensationally quit her role as This Morning presenter after 14 years.

The star thanked her viewers as she shared an emotional statement revealing she had left the ITV show for good.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Holly wrote: “Today I have informed ITV that after 14 years I will not be returning to This Morning. To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so much.

“This is such a hard parting, you are amazing and I will forever be proud of what we have done together. I’m not going back to This Morning.

“Thank you to everyone at ITV for your support. To every guest who sat on our sofa, thank you.

“Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You have been so loyal, supportive and the best company every day.

“Richard and Judy said ‘we just care about this series, it will always belong to the viewers’.

“It was an honor to be a part of his story and I know that this story has many more chapters.

“Unfortunately, however, I now feel that I have to make this decision for myself and my family. I will miss you all very much. Holly.”

Her exit follows a turbulent year for the star, who has presented This Morning since 2009.

Last September, she and then-co-host Phillip Schofield were accused of jumping the queue to pay tribute to the late Queen.

She later issued a statement explaining that she was there as an accredited broadcaster for the filmed segment.

Holly added, “Please know that we would never skip a line.”

This May, Phillip Schofield (61) quit his job after admitting to an affair with a much younger colleague.

Phillip also revealed that he lied about it when he confronted Holly.

She later told viewers she felt “shaken and let down”.

ITV launched a review on This Morning over claims of a “toxic culture”, which led to a backlash from viewers.

Earlier this year, Holly failed to win a National Television Award for the first time in 12 years.
