“They were all archival pieces,” she said of the film’s wardrobe. “They had such a story, they had such a history. It was really fun to go back to wearing things that were revered in a past life.”

In the film, which was released on January 8, Pamela Anderson plays an aging Las Vegas girl named Shelly, and she and her fellow dancers had matching costumes. They carried a number of vintage pieces, including valuable items created by legendary designer Bob Mackie.
“First of all, who doesn’t want to be a showgirl? And who doesn’t want to wear Bob Mackie?” Brenda Song said Party tonight to star in a Mary-Anne movie and wear dazzling costumes.
However, she continued to reveal that the wardrobe (and its value) haunted anyone if even a feather was out of place.
“Every time we wore those headdresses, any feather that flew, people would clean them and put them in bags because they were like feathers and precious stones worth millions of dollars,” Song said. “Like, if one fell off, people were diving for it.”

At the end of the day, however, both Song and Shipka felt they were wearing “artistic” pieces. They admit, however, that it was very difficult for them to act!
“Not just headgear, but actual clothes,” Song said as Shipka nodded.

The costumes in the film were originally used in a show in Las Vegas Jubilee. Anderson said in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar announced on January 9 that she also “loved” all the showgirl costumes prepared by costume designer Jacqui Getty.
“All the Bob Mackie stuff was such a dream to wear,” Shipka added in the same interview. Then she remembered the lavender dress she hadn’t gotten around to wearing before Anderson reminded her of it she I have to wear that dress.
“There were so many fun costumes to wear,” Anderson said.
