On March 21, Miller Gardner, a new New York son Yankees Brett Gardner, 41, died unexpectedly during a family vacation in Kostarika.
The Court of Investigation Agency’s officer Kostarika said on Monday, March 24, NBC News that the 14-year-old had died of congestion “after possible intoxication after obviously swallowing some food.”
But since then, asphyxia has been excluded as the cause of death, Costa Rica officials have confirmed to the people.
A 14-year-old cause of New York Yankees was discovered.
Juan Pablo Alvarado Garcia, a clerk of the Costa Rare Agency, said that after a meeting with a doctor from the forensic pathology department, judicial investigation agencies, asphyxia is not a cause.
“The preliminary verdict has excluded asphyxia as a cause of death. In the respiratory tract after the body examination, no abnormalities at the macro level were not observed,” Garcia said.
Officers are still awaiting the results of toxicological tests to determine whether food poisoning is the cause of death.
Food poisoning is caused by an infection or irritation of the digestive tract from viruses, bacteria or parasites, according to national health institutes. In addition to vomiting, it can cause diarrhea, stomach pain or cramps and fever.

Miller’s parents announced his death earlier this week in a statement of X:
“With heavy hearts, we are sad to announce the passage of our youngest son Miller,” the couple began. “He was 14 and left us too early after we got sick with several other family members while on vacation.”
“We have so many questions and so few answers at the moment, but we know he died calmly in his dream in the morning on Friday, March 21,” they continued.
Costa Rare court investigation agency said the preliminary cause of death could take two to three months.
