“I would go into these conservations with Kash where it was like I really wanted to understand things that seemed so different at first,” Green said. “And then you realize, ‘Oh, this isn’t different at all.’ It’s just your choice of partner. It’s none of my business.”

“And that’s what I always try to instill in people now – it doesn’t affect you,” he continued. “Why do you care so much? And why are you trying to somehow bully your feelings and your opinion into something that literally doesn’t touch you at all?”

Bass, 44, praised the actor for being “open-minded”, adding that Kassius, 21, was lucky to have him as a parent.

“He was so happy to be able to be in your family because a lot of kids don’t get that,” Bass explained. “Even if the parents accept them, there are many times when the child still knows that they still don’t agree with it.”

Green added that the experience was “fascinating” because it was “uncharted” territory.

“I think a lot of people are afraid of the unknown, but I’m not. I find it intriguing. And I want to learn about it,” he said.
