The third and final member of the LFO boy band, Brian Gillis, died on March 29, 2023 at the age of 47. During Summer Girls, Rich Cronin took the stage in our Abercrombie and Fitch T-shirt and performed the entire song while he rolled his eyes. Brian “Brizz” Gillis, founder of the pop and hip-hop group LFO or Lyte Funkie Ones, died on March 29, 2023 at the age of 47. Brad Fischetti, one of his bandmates, posted a black and white photo on Instagram as a tribute to Gillis.
Fischetti stated that he struggles with loss and seeks redemption in pain and suffering, as well as trying to bring light into darkness. The post went on to explain that anyone who has seen the band perform live knows what Brian meant to LFO and that they are doing everything they can to preserve the singer’s legacy.
He stated that the band would not exist if the singer had not invested so much effort and attention in the “first two chapters” of the band.
Brad reflected on his friendship with Brian Gillis, stating that there were many wonderful moments and joy. He also said that Brian taught him a lot about the music industry. Brad stated in his letter that he will continue to use his knowledge.
Brad concluded by vowing to continue his old practice of praying for the family of Brian Gillis. Fischetti also mentioned Terry Edwards and Pistol Pete, two people who have held a special place in Brian’s heart over the years.
