Bride-to-Be Goes on Solo Honeymoon After Fiancé Dies 1 Month Before Wedding: ‘Grief Can Be Incredibly Isolating’

The bride-to-be went ahead with her honeymoon after the death of her fiance shortly before their wedding.

In a video shared on TikTok, a woman named Murphy described how her partner died a month before they were to walk down the aisle.

Despite the painful loss, Murphy decided to share her trip to London, where the couple planned their honeymoon, on social media. “I decided to document my journey because grief can be incredibly isolating,” she said in a voiceover accompanying the clip.

“Maybe I’ll connect with another person who’s been through something similar,” the woman continued.

In the following video, Murphy shared a glimpse of her first day in London, where she admitted during a tour of her hotel room that it “really hit” her that her fiance wasn’t there to experience the trip with her.

A few days later, Murphy shared a video of herself sitting in London’s Hyde Park, where she thanked those who supported her during her solo journey.

“I wanted to make a video to say how grateful I am for all the messages and comments I’ve received. I’ve really been overwhelmed with all the love and I wish I could reply to all of you and hang out with each and every one of you,” she said.

Murphy then further explained why she decided to make her TikTok videos, explaining, “Grieving is a really weird process, and how I feel today can be completely different than how I feel tomorrow.”

She also spoke at length about her late fiancé, who she said was “very selfless, especially when it came to me.”

“He literally always wanted to do whatever he could to make me happy, and I said he would want me to go on adventures and try to live my life,” Murphy continued.
