Tonight it was revealed that he had tragically passed away.

The horror is said to have happened at a three-star hotel in Lanzarote in the early hours of the morning.

Officers confirmed the teenager was from the United Kingdom and said they were continuing to investigate the tragedy.

Local forces said their initial investigation suggested the teenager’s death was an accident.

Although the hotel where the teenager fell has not been named, it is believed to have been the Galeon Playa Apart-Hotel.

The website of the three-star hotel describes it as one of the most beautiful places in the resort on the east coast of the island.

It is said to overlook the water sports center of Playa de Las Cucharas on one side and the charming sandy beach of el Jablillo on the other.

The teenager’s death comes just months after a British father suffered a similar fate in the Canary Islands.

Dan Boyle, 31, was left fighting for his life after a shocking fall on the first night of his week-long holiday with his girlfriend.

The father-of-two, who was said to have fallen 30ft from a balcony, was resuscitated on the pavement following the horror in June.

Dan, from Stockport, Greater Manchester, was rushed to hospital with a fractured skull, sternum and ribs.
