A BRITISH tourist is fighting for his life after attempting to jump 10ft from a balcony into a swimming pool in Cyprus.
The 56-year-old tried to jump from the platform into the pool at his villa but ended up hitting the pavement below before being rushed to hospital in a serious condition.

The Briton was staying in Pegeia, near Paphos on the Mediterranean island, when he slipped while attempting a dangerous jump.
Shortly after the accident, he was transferred by ambulance to the accident and emergency department of Paphos General Hospital.
Due to the severity of his injuries, the doctors then sent him to the intensive care unit.
The man was staying in a villa with friends at the time of the horrific fall, Cypriot media reports.

It comes as another Briton was rushed to hospital after falling 15ft from his hotel balcony in Mallorca.
A man was left “seriously injured” after landing on his head in broad daylight after an argument with friends.
Weeks earlier, another British man suffered serious injuries after falling from a first-floor balcony at the resort.
The 27-year-old was rushed to the hospital in the early hours of the morning.
Neighbors claimed to have seen him lean out of the window of the Palma apartment before falling headfirst to the ground.
The man was seen being carried on a stretcher and into the back of an ambulance before being treated.
