Brooklyn Nets Player Mikal Bridges Says He’s Eaten Chipotle Every Day for the Last 10 Years: ‘It’s Too Fire’

If you want to make Mikal Bridges happy, try getting him some Chipotle!

Earlier this week, the 27-year-old Brooklyn Nets basketball player spoke with GQ Sports and professed his love for fast food chain Mexican Grill, which specializes in made-to-order bowls, tacos and Mission burritos in front of its customers.

“Hey @Chipotle, give this man a gift card,” the outlet captioned a TikTok video of the athlete as he opened a bag containing a food order from the restaurant. An extended version of the interview was also shared on YouTube.

“I’ve been eating this every day, and it’s been like… How many years since I’ve had Chipotle?” Bridges asked himself before realizing that a lot of time had passed.

“Since 2013, 14? So about 10 years?” He said.

Bridges – who kept his food from the socket – jokingly admitted at the time that his consistent choice in the kitchen had “friends and family teasing me a bit about it”.

“It’s too fiery not to have it every time,” he continued before revealing his order of food from the franchise.

Tucking into his dish, the basketball player then said, “So, my bowl order – I’m getting white rice, no beans, double chicken, medium and mild salsa, corn and lettuce.”

But Bridges wasn’t done there, he even shared the ingredient that is no longer important and why.

“Oh, and I used to eat hot salsa,” he added.

However, the athlete revealed that whenever he consumed the product beforehand, he would leave “only water” after just one bite.

“AND [the water] still not helping,” he said, calling the experience of eating his favorite bowl “painful.”

In the comments section GQ Sports‘ TikTok, the user joked: “So it’s not just me getting older. Hot salsa is actually hotter.”

As for Bridges, he is as consistent on the field as he is in his food choices. Aside from eating Chipotle daily for about a decade, the athlete has never missed an NBA game in his career, according to Fox Sports.

While no studies have yet found a link between Chipotle and the sports great, old tweets revealed that Travis Kelce is also a fan of the popular Mexican barbeque.

In mid-November, Swifties found the Kansas City Chiefs star next to social media posts to see if he matches Taylor Swift.

As a result, the tight end went viral for his adoration (and misspelling) of Chipotle!

“I left class for therapy, now I need a #chipolte, and then I’m going to check out my new apartment,” Kelce, 34, wrote on April 27, 2011.

In honor of his now infamous spelling mistakes, Chipotle renamed one of its Kansas City restaurants “Chipolte.”
