A young rapper named BTB Savage left us unexpectedly at the end of March. He was shot to death last Thursday, March 30. This happened after he posted photos on social media of himself standing near a bloody crime scene at his home. The “Scam Story” artist and his girlfriend shot a man in self-defense while he was trying to steal jewelry from Savage by pretending to beg, before Savage took his own life.
Several social media users have claimed that the late composer didn’t even live long enough to see his post go viral as the investigation into his death progresses. At a press conference earlier this weekend, Houston Police Chief Troy Finner spoke about the situation, mentioning that federal partners have now stepped in to help with the investigation.
The search for Savage’s killers is currently led by a great team. But so far no one has been arrested.
He told the media: “We received a call for service about a shooting that was occurring around 6:10 p.m. There was a drive-by shooting in the 2100 block of Mid Lane. Officers immediately discovered an African American male who appeared to be being in his late twenties dead at the scene when they arrived. The car he was driving was a white Mercedes.
Finner further mentioned that according to eyewitnesses, the victim was ambushed by a newer black Mitsubishi SUV with tinted windows. The only information we have on the two suspects is that they were wearing black hooded clothing, the chief claims.
The would-be raiders “fled east or west toward San Felipe,” according to Finner’s findings. Despite the lack of information at the moment, he knows that BTB Savage has been hit by several bullets. The number of shells still on the ground gives that information.
