Buster Posey is an American former professional baseball player who played for the San Francisco Giants for his entire twelve-year Major League Baseball (MLB) career, from 2009 until his retirement at the end of the 2021 season. His fielding position was catcher. In the first round of the 2008 MLB draft, the Giants selected him with the fifth overall pick.
