But a promising alternative has been spotted at Costco just in time for the holiday season, much to the delight of shoppers.
Fans were saddened when Cadbury Snaps – a Christmas favorite – were pulled from shelves recently.
They were a sweet staple in many households, with hungry Brits expressing their love for the snack.
“We used to have Cadbury Snaps for Christmas. Oh my god they were beautiful,” one lover wrote on social media.
Another wrote: “Oh remember the Cadbury chocolate photos that only come out for Christmas.”
“Someone buy me Cadbury’s shots for Christmas,” joked a third.
And when confused customers couldn’t find them anymore, fans called on the company to “please bring these things back.”
Unfortunately, they met with a crushing response.
Cadbury’s X account said, “Hey, Cadbury Snaps have been discontinued, but we still have plenty of other chocolate treats to try.”
But while one of the world’s favorite chocolate brands forgot about the legendary treat, Costco seems to have remembered.
In an attempt to save Christmas, the discount retailer listened to fans’ demands and pulled their scam.
The packaging is almost identical and four boxes can be bought for just £8.49.
They are called Belgian Chocolate Thins and they come in salted caramel flavor.
At such a low price, the extra boxes could be used as stocking stuffers or party favors – but they might be too delicious to give away.
A bright-eyed shopper still pining for the discontinued Cadbury snack shared his discovery on X.
“If you remember the Cadbury shots you’ll know how freaked out I am at the moment,” they commented.
Another claimed that a similar alternative can also be found in Aldi – and they offer a range of flavours.
This comes as fans were also delighted to see that Cadbury is bringing back its Secret Santa postal service which can get you free chocolate.
Now in its sixth year, the idea is the same – customers order a free bar for their loved ones.
Plus, the cheapest places to buy the brand’s advent calendars this week have been revealed – and they cost just £1.35 each.
Meanwhile, chocolate lovers were delighted after spotting a unique treat usually found overseas on UK shelves.
Cadbury Dairy Milk Slices Vanilla Passionfruit was previously only available in Australia, but has now made its way to British shores.
