Sweet tooth fans haven’t been impressed with their favorite, the bitter orange creme, lately, which is conspicuously missing from the tubs they’ve opened.

One person wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “Imagine my sadness when I opened this last night and no #tangyorangecreme and only 7 #strawberrycreme. Well taken out. Come on @CadburyUK pull yourself together.”

The post prompted an apology from Cadbury’s, who responded: “Sorry about that! The cans are filled randomly, so we have no control over the contents of individual cans.”

The poster didn’t fully accept that explanation though and added: “Random filled ok I get it but the one in question when bought with 6 others at the same time and 4 in total were split between family members and all 4 didn’t have orange cream so that you certainly can’t put it on an accidental charge.”

That thread then prompted another user to write: “I didn’t get any orange creams in my box either, I think they need to step up their quality control. I know it’s random but it’s shocking that there aren’t any.”

This opinion was echoed by another user of the social network, who wrote in a separate post: “Where are the hot orange chocolates?? They are my favorite.”

I got the same apology from Cadbury.

Likewise, they were not satisfied with such an answer either, saying: “It’s a shame it never happened before.” We will go with @QualityStreetUK and hope for a more even distribution with them.”

Named after the favorite flower of chocolatier Dorothy Cadbury, roses have become the staple Christmas chocolate.

The bowls even include miniature pieces of Cadbury’s signature Dairy Milk chocolate.

But prices vary between retailers, and you can find Cadbury Roses from as little as £2.99 to as much as £11.89, depending on where you shop.
