Calling the Midwifery bosses turned fan for help in their latest Facebook post! The hugely popular show was nominated for a National Television Award and invited fans to vote for them in the nominated categories.
An impromptu Facebook post read: “Did you vote for Call the Midwife at this year’s National Television Awards??? If not – please! Hello everyone! Did you like So we really need your help.We show has once again been considered for nominations for this year’s brilliant National Television Awards.

“Call the Midwoman is nominated in the ‘Return Drama’ category, and Zephryn Taitte (Cyril) and Judy Parfitt (Sister Monica Joan) are both nominated in the ‘Drama Acting’ category! Here’s the preliminary round! poll or the ‘long list’ round, so the votes you cast now are crucial to getting our team shortlisted and the live ceremony in London on September 5. But…… WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!!

© BBC The series returns in a Christmas special later this year
The series is still ongoing and they recently revealed that they are filming a Christmas special ahead of season 13! They recently shared a behind-the-scenes video of the shoot, showing Turner’s three youngest children, Angela, Teddy and May, playing in the snow.
The caption begins: “It’s been a tradition for us to film our new Christmas special in unusually warm weather – and this year was no different!

“You’ll be pleased to know that the spring sunshine hasn’t dampened the young Turners’ enthusiasm for off-season snowballing! Young stars Alice Brown (Angela), Edward Shaw (Teddy) and April-Rae Hoang have been VERY good. excited to capture this special moment in our festive episode. (Getting them to stop when we say ‘cut’ is a bit harder,” the post continued, adding a winking face.

Stephen McGann spoke of what to expect from the Christmas special, telling RadioTimes.com: “It has a different feel; it’s a different audience, people are at home with their families and so It’s a different atmosphere. It’s also the same thing that brings us into the new season. It has all these elements and over the years we’ve all gotten used to that rhythm.”

Season 13 will be a bit bittersweet, though, as Leonie Elliott has confirmed that she won’t be returning to the series. Announcing that she would not be returning to her famous role as Lucille in a post in March, Leonie wrote, “” Having spent 6 years on a really great show, with a great team, I am today love Lucille even more deeply. I am honored to represent the pioneering generation of Windrush and their incredible impact on British society.”
