Call The Midwoman reveals some exciting news. Taking to social media on Wednesday, the show’s Instagram account shared it call midwife is being considered for a nomination in the Comeback Drama category at the National Television Awards. Adding to the celebration, Zephryn Taitte (Cyril Robinson) and Judy Parfitt (Sister Monica Joan) were also shortlisted in the drama category.
Write an honest caption, call midwife wrote: “Hello everyone! We are delighted to inform you that our show has once again been considered for nomination at this year’s brilliant National Television Awards.”
The show also made an appeal to fans, adding: “This is a preliminary round or ‘long list’, so the votes you cast now are very important for our team to make it through. shortlist and live ceremony in London on September 5. But. …. WE WERE BALANCED YOUR SUPPORT!!!!

After the sweet announcement, fans quickly expressed their support call midwife. “I just voted! Call the Midwife is my favorite show, so I have to show my support from across the pond!” one person answered. “Voted. Always my winner in every category,” added another. Meanwhile, a third commented: “Done. Love you all and this show so much.”

Filming of the new series began in early May, and since then, the series has been shared news on Instagram. It was previously revealed that the Buckle family and Cyril Robinson will appear in the opening scene of season 13.
Posted a photo of actors Cliff Parisi, Zephryn Taitte and Annabelle Apsion posing with a small plank, the caption explaining: “HAPPY!! It’s official – Call the Midwoman has started filming for Series 13!!
“Bringing these photos straight from our studio, where our brave Buckles, along with the lovely Cyril, had the honor of kicking off the 13th series with the opening scene!! Actors Cliff Parisi, Zephryn Taitte and Annabelle Apsion were on hand to pose for our traditional clapping, while the wonderful Daniel Laurie (Reggie, pictured) waits to begin her work with the family this year.”

Another post on the show’s Instagram account also sheds light on the upcoming Christmas special. Two new behind-the-scenes photos have been released online, one showing the cast of Max Macmillan and Stephen McGann, who play Timothy and Patrick Turner, sitting in the front seat of a car, while the other shows Max is holding a small board.

The headline begins: “Behind the scenes of the new Christmas special Call the Midwoman: The Turners hit the road! Hello everyone! Yesterday we went to the Royal Dockyard in Chatham, Kent for filmed some driving scenes for our new Christmas special.”
It concluded: “Filming is off to a GREAT start and it’s great to be back at the pier, where the official Call the Midwife tour took place.”
