Cara Delevingne is the spitting image of Elton John.
On Wednesday, Dec. 18, the “Candle in the Wind” musician, 77, shared a kitschy visual remake of his 1973 Christmas classic “Step into Christmas,” starring the actress/model, 32.
In the new video, which is based on John’s original visual for the song, Delevingne dresses up as the “Tiny Dancer” hitmaker as the production team frantically decorates the video’s set for the holidays, with a festive feather boom, balloons and confetti. Meanwhile, chaos ensues as the team squabbles over a runaway turkey, fails to book the right reindeer and tackles a fan who invades the set.
The visual also features the 1973 version of John alongside Delevingne singing together.

Elton John plummets from top to bottom in one minute in trailer for new documentary: ‘My Soul Had Gone Dark’
“I saw Cara at Glastonbury last summer and we talked about how much we’d love to work together if the right idea came along,” John said in a statement. “She’s hilarious to spend time with; we both have a pretty self-deprecating sense of humor. When someone suggested the idea of playing me in the riff on the 1973 ‘Step Into Christmas’ video, I thought it was the perfect opportunity.. Thank God it was Cara thought the same because it turned out great.”
For Delevingne, John has always been “her idol”. “To say that his music had a profound effect on me is an understatement,” she said in a statement. “Having him ask me to PLAY him in this recreation was a dream I didn’t know I had until it happened. Honestly, I wish I could pretend to be Elton every day. I hope Elton returns the favor one day service and you agree to play me in my not yet developed, written, presented or financed biopic.
