Cara took to Instagram to address the fire that tore through her £5.5 million ($7 million) home in the early hours of Friday morning.
The model wrote: “My heart is broken today. I can’t believe it. Life can change in the blink of an eye. So appreciate what you have.”
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the firefighters and people who came to help,” added Cara.

It is currently unknown how the fire started, but it is believed to have started in the back room of the property and quickly spread to the attic, causing part of the roof to collapse.
The emergency call was made at 3:57 am local time.
It reportedly took a huge team of firefighters in 13 fire engines more than two hours to bring the fire under control.
A post on the LAFD website said: “Firefighters arrived to find a four-story building on the second floor showing fire.
“It took 40 firefighters 21 minutes to extinguish the fire.
“After firefighters entered the building to extinguish the remaining flames, crews ventilated the building to remove lingering smoke and search for any victims.
“There were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters. The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
The 31-year-old British supermodel-turned-actress was not staying at the residence at the time.
An official from the Los Angeles Police Department told Page Six that “there is no indication that this is criminal activity.”
The LAPD added, “At this time, there are no indications of an arson or criminal investigation.”

Delevingne gave Architectural Digest a tour of her Los Angeles home in 2021, which she called her “adult playhouse.”
Her house includes a ball court, a projector screen, trampolines and a swimming pool.
Customs representatives were invited to comment.
The catwalk star is currently in London, making her debut as Sally Bowles in the award-winning production of Cabaret at the Playhouse Theatre.
It’s a dream role for Cara, who auditioned for and won the coveted role, previously played by A-listers including Liza Minnelli and Dame Judi Dench.
She recently stated: “There are no words to describe the excitement I have to return home to make my stage debut in such an iconic role.
“I am so inspired by the brilliant actors who have played Sally in past productions around the world and in this one in the West End.
“I can’t wait to be a part of this brilliant cast and production.”
The Hammersmith, West London-born actress has starred in several films including Paper Towns, Suicide Squad and Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.
Cara’s return to the stage follows a long struggle to get back on her feet after revealing she hit rock bottom in September 2022.
Friends of the starlet told The Sun this week how worried they were when photos emerged of Cara smoking a pipe and walking around disheveled.
Sources said: “We are all incredibly worried. The situation has been building for several weeks and Cara’s family are involved.
“There is talk of staging some sort of intervention and making sure Cara gets the help she needs.
“He’s been burning the candle at both ends lately and it’s obviously taking its toll.”
Cara described it as a wake-up call for her.
She checked into a rehab program and began a 12-step program to break free from alcohol and drugs.
She said: “Before, I was always into the quick fix of healing, going to a weekly exercise or a trauma course, say, and that helped momentarily, but it never got to the nitty gritty – the rough, deeper stuff.
“This time I realized that 12-step treatment was the best thing, and it was about not being ashamed of it.”
Now, the star says she’s just excited to be back home and performing on stage for the first time.
Cara will be played by Sally Bowles in the West End hit until June 1.
