My father is considered the best bass opera singer in Asia. My mother was also a natural singer and was affectionately known as the Nightingale of Dadar. My sister is like Aretha Franklin, a big black mom with a lot of soul. Growing up, music was always around me, whether it was in school, at home, or in church. Thanks to my father, music from all over the world was played in the house. I never had any training. No, I never gave up. I don’t believe in giving up. But there are some things I won’t do on principle, such as condom advertising. Condom ads portray women badly. Five years ago I did an African condom ad, and unlike the ad that objectified women in low light (sic), the focus of this ad was on raising AIDS awareness, so I did it. I don’t have any problem with “sexy”, like the Aam Sutra ad, but I can’t do anything vulgar. ”

And then, I remember I was asked to do a lot of retakes, especially Leslie’s retakes. Sometimes you’ll re-record it 9 or 10 times, but the problem is, your sound loses its feel after two or three times. So there will be a lot of pressure. ”
