Cardi B Reveals She Spends 'About $3 Million' a Month and Was Recently Offered a $65 Million Tour Contract

Cardi B responds to fans who accuse her of financial problems.

The rapper, 32, posted a voice recording on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, Dec. 3, explaining her recent financial moves — and she sounded upset because people think she might not have as much money as she does.

“People say I live off the Shein business and the brand business — wait, wait,” she said. “I want to let you know that I could wake up tomorrow, sign a contract and have half of $65 million — or half of $70 million — in my bank.”

She continued, saying that this year is her “defense.” She didn’t want to sign a tour contract until she announced her album, Cardi B said, because then she would get a bigger amount.

“I spent about $3 million a month,” she said.

Cardi B then addressed a screenshot she posted of a September interview that suggests she could be paid $1 million per show, or $65 million in total. Another person, who remained unnamed, stated that she would be paid “half of the money in advance after signing the contract.”

Her announcement came after she shared a sponsored ad on Instagram with Sheina earlier in the day — a video of her modeling a line of fur coats.

Earlier this week, Cardi teased new music in a video she shared with her top Spotify listeners in honor of the streaming service’s annual Wrapped campaign. “I’m laughing, because I know I made a video like this last year, but I had trials and tribulations going on, okay?” she said, adding that 2025 would be her “year.”

“We’re coming in strong,” said the Grammy winner.

In August, Cardi revealed that she had already shot the cover art for her highly anticipated sophomore album. “I just don’t know which one to pick,” Cardi said in a post on X.

Despite assuring fans in March that her album would be released in 2024, Cardi backtracked on her comments in May, revealing that plans had changed.

“Anyway NO album this year, I don’t care, I’m taking it easy this year.. I’m giving up on these features I’ve already committed to and traveling and enjoying my summer,” she told a fan on X.
