Carey Mulligan Is Whisked Away by Her Husband Marcus Mumford After the 2024 Oscars

Marcus Mumford knocked his Oscar-nominated wife Carey Mulligan off her feet!

The couple celebrated Mulligan’s third Oscar nomination after the 2024 Academy Awards wrapped up Sunday night. Mulligan, 38, is nominated for best actress for her role as Felicia Montealegra in Maestro.

But after the ceremony, Mumford, 37, paid tribute to another Oscar nominee on TikTok on Monday. The Grammy winner carried his wife through the halls while she was nominated Barbie the song “I’m Just Ken” performed Barbie nominee Ryan Gosling, played in the background.

Throughout the video, Maestro the actress giggles in her husband’s arms as he carries her through the building — and serves as the “Ken” to her “Barbie.” As Mumford gracefully leads his wife through the corridors, he quickly avoids oncoming people and corners.

Mulligan was held in her formal gown, a black mermaid gown with a carved hem over white tulle – a recreation of Balenciaga’s 1951 design.

Along with sharing a sweet video, Mumford also celebrated his wife’s carousel success on Instagram on Monday. In a cute photo Mumford & Sons the singer kisses his wife on the cheek as she beams at the camera.

Additional photos included Mumford looking lovingly at Mulligan as he waited in the van. Another image shared a behind-the-scenes moment of the actress getting ready, but Mumford photographed her through a window. In view of her glamorous process, Mumford can be seen grinning from ear to ear in the reflection of the shop window.

“I am proud of my wife,” he wrote in a post that he also shared on his Instagram Stories.

The couple married in 2012 and share two daughters and one son.

Mulligan is nominated along with Annette Bening (Nyad), Lily Gladstone (Killers of the Flower Moon), Sandra Hüller (Anatomy of a Fall) and winner Emma Stone (Poor people).

Meanwhile, the popular singer Barbie hit “I’m Just Ken” was nominated for best supporting actor. He was nominated alongside Sterling K. Brown (American fiction), Robert De Niro (Killers of the Flower Moon), Mark Ruffalo (Poor people) and winner Robert Downey Jr.Oppenheimer).

While Gosling, 43, brought his “Ken-ergy” to the song’s performance—which had the crowd dancing in their seats—the song lost out to another original tune from Barbie. Billie Eilish and Finneas won Best Original Song for “What Was I Made For?”

Two Barbie songs were nominated along with “The Fire Inside” from Flamin’ Hot“It Never Went Away” from American Symphonyand “Wahzhazhe (Song for my people)” from Killers of the Flower Moon.
