Summer house Stars Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke’s infamous $13,000-a-month apartment now has just one resident.
Radke, 38, told PEOPLE that he left the New York home he once shared with Hubbard, 37, after the couple called off their engagement.
“The apartment situation is still something we’re trying to sort out,” Radke told PEOPLE at BravoCon in Las Vegas. “Out of respect, I wanted to do the right thing and it felt right to give her an apartment to occupy the space.”
Carl Radke doesn’t think a reconciliation with Lindsay Hubbard is an immediate ‘possibility’ as they are ‘healing separately’
Radke confirmed that he has a new apartment. “I’m so excited to have a new pad,” he said. “Since I have the new foundation, it’s been incredibly positive for me.”
However, Radke admitted that “something still needs to be concluded” with his ex, as well as other post-split issues that “will have to be resolved at some point.”
“I’m just one day at a time,” he said. “I’m just trying to take care of myself.”
Radke describes the breakup as “incredibly emotionally difficult for both of us” and adds that, “if there’s a way to make it all better in some way, I would.”

Syracuse University student’s split with Hubbard is harder to deal with than his brother’s death in 2020.
“This was harder than my brother’s death, I’m not even kidding,” Radke said. “It was very, very painful and emotional.”

In September, Radke sent an email to his and Hubbard’s loved ones who planned to attend their November nuptials in Mexico letting them know there would be no wedding.
“There were many false stories and misunderstandings that made this even more painful, but unfortunately at this moment we are not going ahead with the wedding,” Radke wrote. “The fact of the matter is that Lindsay is devastated and I am devastated that this has all happened. I am kindly asking for some patience and grace as we heal and recover as we go through this extremely difficult time.”

In a since-deleted Instagram post on Sept. 14, Hubbard spoke for the first time about the split, admitting that she had a “hard time making sense of it all — without an answer or a conclusion as to why.”
Radke denies that the decision to end the engagement came as a surprise to Hubbard.
“I strongly do not believe that she was blindsided by us having those conversations,” he told PEOPLE at BravoCon.
He also denied rumors that he called Bravo cameras to come record the break.
“I didn’t call the production to set her up,” said Radke. “I don’t decide what will be filmed about Summer house. I really don’t. I only respond to what is asked.”

When the new season Summer house airs next year, Radke believes viewers will understand why his relationship with Hubbard ended.
“We had a really tough summer and I think people will see that,” admitted Radke. “But it just shows the seriousness of the situation when I really felt deep down that I needed to talk to her about where we were in our relationship and moving forward with the wedding.”
