Carmelo Anthony News

Carmelo Anthony, a ten-time NBA All-Star, formally announced his retirement from basketball on Monday, after a two-decade professional career.

Anthony, 38, revealed his choice in a video montage of his career that was posted to his Instagram account. Anthony’s final NBA game was for the Los Angeles Lakers in April 2022. Anthony added in the video, “I remember the days when I had nothing, only a ball on the court and a dream with something more.

“However, basketball was my pastime. My motivation was strong. My neighbourhoods, the cities I proudly represented, and the supporters who helped me along the road.

“I will always be grateful to those individuals and places for moulding me, Michael Anthony. To the court where I established my name, to the sport that gave me meaning and pride, the moment has come for me to say farewell.
