Mallory appeared in more than fifty commercials during her career. Her first job was with Olympic Airlines, where she was part of the award-winning ‘no dancing in the aisles’ campaign. Similarly, she participated in the ten-year advertising campaign “English skins” (“All my men wear English skins or nothing”). Similarly, she was known for her roles as Madge in Picnic and Tiffany in Mary, Mary at the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, Pennsylvania. In the early 1970s, she trained in New York with Wynn Handman, director of the American Place Theatre.
Similarly, after moving to Hollywood, she attended Harvey Lembeck’s Comedy Improvisation Workshop. Flash, Mallory’s 1988 book, was about an alcoholic survivor of Hollywood. She also wrote a book entitled Loving Mailer in 2010. Her most famous works are Vidal vs. Mailer, My Friendship with Kurt Vonnegut and Joseph Heller and others. She has also served as a book critic for The Philadelphia Inquirer and has taught at Rosemont College, Cheltenham School for Adults, and Widener University. She went on to study writing at UCLA, NYU, and Columbia University after graduating in 1983. After the death of her friend Mailer, she sold seven boxes of plates and paintings to Harvard University, which included excerpts from her letters, novels, and diaries.
