Carrie Ann Inaba Slams Anna Delvey's 'Dismissive' Response to Dancing with the Stars Elimination: 'It's a Shame'

Carrie Ann Inaba has a few choice words to sum up Anne Delvey’s response to her Dancing with the stars elimination.

Shortly after Delvey was axed from the show on Tuesday, September 24, The DWTS The judge, 56, responded to Delvey’s statement that he had learned “nothing” from the experience.

“I was taken aback by her comment,” Inaba said Entertainment Weekly. “It was an insult not only to the opportunity she got, but also to her wonderful partner Ezra who supported her [Sosa] in his debut season, but also all of us who work on the show — from dancers to behind-the-scenes to the creative team.”

When asked if she was surprised by Delvey’s elimination, Inaba said so DWTS fans are “passionate and engaged” and vote for “who they want to win the Mirrorball trophy”.

“But I would like to point out something important. Our fans don’t vote against people,” she explained. “That’s not our format survived, we don’t vote people out. Our fans vote for whoever they want to win.”

Although Delvey’s reaction was controversial, Sosa, 23, told the Extra that her parting words were anything but unexpected.
