Celebrity Trainer Erin Oprea Gets Injectable to Stop ‘Peeing in Pants’

Celebrity personal trainer and influencer Erin Oprea underwent the procedure to help with exercise-induced incontinence — and now she’s celebrating exercise with “no pee, baby!”

Oprah’s husband, Sean, filmed the entire “shrinking procedure,” which she shared on Instagram.

“Fight your pants while running, jumping, laughing, sneezing,” Oprea captioned the video. “Well, that was me YEARSSSSSS!”

Incontinence caused by activities, such as jumping or sneezing, is called “stress incontinence,” according to the Mayo Clinic. It is often solved surgically, where a strap-like support is added to the urethra or bladder.

Oprea — who has worked with Maren Morris and Carrie Underwood — shared that her doctor recommended that before going down the surgical route, the trainer first try the procedure, where she was injected with a “bulking agent” to help with incontinence.

Her doctor, Dr. Tara Allen, was quick to explain that while it’s an injection, it’s not like Botox, which can sometimes be used for an “overactive bladder.” dr. Allen explained, “This is for coughs, laughs, runny sneezes.”

“Wow, leaky leaky, that’s me,” replied the former US Marine.

dr. Allen then explained that the injection consists of “a bulking agent that works through pure physics” to “make the urethra a little tighter.”

“It’s 98% water, it’s about 2% scaffolding that prevents the absorption of water droplets,” she continued.

Although the Mayo Clinic points out that injections are not permanent and often not as successful as sling surgery, “they are less invasive and offer a faster recovery.”

And from what Oprea experienced, the effects were immediate.

“I jumped the same day with no leaks!!!” she wrote on Instagram, while also sharing a post-workout video of herself, which highlighted how she previously had to wear incontinence pads.

“30 minutes of jumping in the bouncy house is over and there is no peeeeeeee. This will change my life forever,” she said.

“Who thinks they could talk to your doctor about this procedure???” – asked Opera on Instagram, adding that the reason she decided to share her procedure is that “I know that a lot of women are struggling with the same problem, so I’m sharing everything!”

This isn’t the first time Oprea has addressed her struggles with incontinence. She even teamed up with Poise pads, writing on Instagram that it’s time to “BREAK THE STIGMA and explore your options because you deserve to not feel held back in life just because you pee a little!!!”
