Chad Michael Murray shares the secret to his impressive abs.
The 43-year-old actor, who shows off his toned physique in the Netflix Christmas movie Merry gentlemenopened up about his regime while talking to Interview magazine.
When asked how he stays motivated to maintain his six-pack, Murray replied: “I don’t know. I’ll say he has a beautiful wife, wanting to keep her happy.”
He continued, “Even though she’s not at all the type to ever demand that of me, you want to look good for a lady. I also like to be in a certain place at all times, just in case an opportunity like this arises. It’s a lifestyle.”

“I’ve never danced professionally or trained in any way,” the actor recently told PEOPLE. “I like to go out and dance. My wife [Sarah Roemer] and I’ve danced at one or two weddings and occasionally we dance and fool around in the house, but nothing on this level.”
Although he was initially intimidated by the role, Murray said, “When I see something and it scares me to death, something inside me says, ‘Okay, well, let’s see what we can do. I’m going to fall flat on my face or I’m going to have a lot of fun doing it.’ So that’s what really appealed to me.”

He also said the physical transformation was “very intense,” but added, “I love a good challenge.”

The One Tree Hill alum married his actress wife in 2015. The couple shares three children: a 9-year-old son, a 6-year-old daughter, and a daughter born in August 2023.

Murray recently spoke about life as a father of three during an interview with Diversity. He said that his family of five, which he calls “The Pack”, travels together to every concert of Murray’s books.
“I want to be there,” he explained, talking about being present in his children’s lives. “I have to be there for my daughter’s first steps. I got to take her trick or treat the first time.”
“And she crushed him!” he added.
