Chad Michael Murray loved reconnecting with his Fucking Friday actress Lindsay Lohan for the upcoming film sequel.
While attending Christmas Con 2024 in Edison, NJ on Dec. 15, the 43-year-old actor took part in a fan Q&A where he was asked about Crazy Friday.
“It was great. It was just a nostalgic kick,” Murray said of the project. “It felt like a high school reunion, you know? It felt like no time had passed, yet we had whole lives in between.”
Then, noting that it’s been “23 years since we were on set and working first,” Merry gentlemen The star also explained that following the film’s plot, which deals with swapping bodies between family members, could be confusing at times.
“There [were] moments where I’m sitting there going, ‘Okay, who’s who?’ … I was really focused. I had to do a lot of homework and then I’d still make mistakes,” he teased. “But it was great. So much fun.”

Crazy Friday Murray will return as his character Jake from the original film, while Lohan, 38, will reprise her role as Anna Coleman and Jamie Lee Curtis will reprise her role as her mother, Tess Coleman.
Other original stars including Mark Harmon, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowski and Rosalind Chao will also return for the sequel.
New characters, meanwhile, will be played by Julia Butters, Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Sophia Hammons, per Diversity.

Earlier this year, Entertainment Weekly reported that the plot of Crazy Fridaydirected by Nisha Ganatra, will revolve around Lohan and Curtis’ characters switching bodies with two teenage girls.
Crazy Friday will hit theaters on August 8, 2025.
