A DESPERATE search has been launched for Channel 4’s favorite star as officers become “increasingly concerned for her welfare”.
Katherine Watson, 50, was last seen in the Heaton Road area of Newcastle at around 1pm on Thursday 19 September.

Katherine, known to many as Katie, starred in the popular TV series Geordie Hospital.
The show followed the outstanding work of NHS staff in Newcastle hospitals and featured Katie’s work as a chaplain at the RVI and the Freeman.
A retired doctor who worked with her wrote a heartfelt message on social media after her shocking disappearance.
“For many of us in Newcastle hospitals she has been our rock during the worst parts of the Covid pandemic,” they wrote.
Another described her as “one of the most wonderful women I’ve had the pleasure of knowing.”
Since he went missing yesterday afternoon, Northumbria Police have launched an urgent appeal.
The 50-year-old is about 5ft 6in tall, of slim build and has short light gray hair.
She was last seen wearing a green hat, dark pants and a hooded top, and was carrying a backpack.
Katie has tattoos on her arms and a military tattoo on her chest.
He is known to have connections in the Heaton and Jesmond areas.
The Channel 4 star has two children with her long-term partner.
A police spokesman said: “The 50-year-old woman was last seen in the Heaton Road area at around 1pm today and we are increasingly concerned for her welfare.
“Searches are underway to locate Katherine, who is described as a white female, approximately 5ft 6in tall, slim build, with short light gray hair.
“Katherine was last seen wearing a green hat, backpack, dark pants and a dark hooded top.
“He has a large number of tattoos on his arms, as well as a military tattoo on his chest.
“She has links to the Heaton and Jesmond areas of Newcastle – but she could have traveled further afield.

Katie also served as a veteran of the Royal Military Police and has worked in conflict zones such as the Balkans and Northern Ireland.
She joined the Army at age 18 and completed basic training at the Army Women’s Training Center in Guilford.
The veteran was selected to attend the commissioning course at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and was commissioned in August 1997.
In 2002 she left the army and trained with Humberside Probation service.
She joined the Newcastle team in 2007 on a long-term engagement and eventually stayed on before being appointed Head of Chaplaincy for the Foundation in 2020.
Katie spoke fondly of her role last year, telling the NHS: “No two days are the same, which means I never know what a shift will bring. I spend a lot of time traveling with patients, relatives and staff, whether it’s on the wards or in the chapel vacation.
“I have the privilege of being with people in the best and worst of times.
“I enjoy coming to work every day and am proud to be part of a team that values and supports me. As a former military officer, I especially recognize how being part of this Foundation reflects my experience of good leadership and a strong team ethos.”
Katie said in her spare time she is qualified as an inshore rescue boat coxswain and enjoys long distance running and speed packing.
