Charlie Stayt disappeared from his usual spot on the BBC Breakfast couch on Thursday morning due to a schedule change at the BBC.
The presenter, who usually hosts the news alongside Naga Munchetty, has been replaced by Ben Thompson, who covered Jon Kay last week.

Naga and Ben host on BBC One from 6am to 7:30am, when the show switches to BBC Two to make way for coverage of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Informing viewers of the schedule change, Ben began: “You watched Breakfast on BBC One. Now we’ll leave you here on BBC One because the next live broadcast is the Championship. Women’s World Cup in New Zealand.”

Naga continued: “If you want to stay with us, you can switch to BBC Two. We’ll be there until 9.”

Charlie, who joined BBC Breakfast back in 2006, she often appeared on the show Thursday through Saturday and co-hosted with Naga since she joined the show lineup in 2014.
While the journalist first started out as a relief show host, he soon landed the role of main weekend host in 2008.

While it’s not clear why Charlie is absent from the show, he’s not the only host who’s gone missing on the red sofa recently.

Jon Kay is currently on vacation and enjoying some quality time with his family. On his social networking sites to announce his summer vacation, the journalist writes: “Enjoy the extra sleep and family vacation that has been planned for a long time, so tomorrow morning there is no need to set the clock alarm,” adding that he’ll be back on the couch soon. : “Back on the red couch with my BBC Breakfast family in Salford in two weeks.”

Another star absent from the show this week is Carol Kirkwood. The weatherman has been absent since Tuesday, and while we don’t know why the star isn’t on the show, we do know that she’s embarking on an exciting new challenge.
Carol, who was replaced by Matt Taylor on this week’s show, will join fans on a four-day steamboat journey through her native Scotland.

The trip will cost participants £1,495 and the itinerary includes a visit to the castle, three boat trips and a ride on the Falkirk Wheel.
The Scottish TV star is also expected to host an interview in which he will talk about his love of Scotland and growing up in the village of Morar. She will also talk about her TV career and her time as a contestant Seriously to dance. Fans will also be able to participate in a Q&A session with Carol.
