But the mother of nine is back at our farm next door to Channel 4.
The series will follow Amanda, Clive and their son Reuben (19) as they renovate a country house. It began production in August and is scheduled to air next year.
A source close to the family, based at Ravenseat Farm in North Yorkshire, said: “Amanda’s ego has taken a hit. Her popularity fell after the revelation of the affair.
“She knows the only way she can get back on TV – and make it successful – is for Clive to be involved and for them to put up a united front.”
Locals say Clive, 69, is “endlessly kind and tolerant” despite the devastation at the end of their 22-year marriage.
And he promised to continue working with her on the farm after word got out about her affair with Robert Davies.
Mr Davies’ wife Yasumi was left devastated after finding a note Amanda had sent Robert in a bag in his car. It read: “Robert, life is too short and happiness too rare. I love you.”
She confronted her husband, whose eldest daughter is Amanda’s age, and he confessed to the betrayal.
Yasumi said: “Instead of acknowledging my pain, he was more concerned about protecting her TV career.
“I watched Our Yorkshire Farm and couldn’t help but be impressed by it.
“She presented herself as a wife and mother, devoted to her family and an inspiration to others. But she lied to the public and lived a double life.
Mr Davies, who has been married five times, is still seeing Amanda.
But TV ratings showed her solo show Farming Lives attracted less than half the viewers of Clive and Reuben’s Yorkshire Farm spin-off.
