A MAN was rushed to hospital after an alleged chemical attack at London’s Winter Wonderland.
Officers were called to a Christmas market in the capital at around 8pm on Sunday after two groups got into an “argument”.
The 22-year-old is said to have thrown a bottle of alkaline liquid at him during the fight.
He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Two men aged 21 and 18 and a 16-year-old were arrested.
A spokesman for the Met Police said: “A bottle containing an alkaline liquid is believed to have been thrown.
“The man who was splashed with liquid was taken to hospital where his injuries were assessed as non-separable.
“No other injuries were reported.”
A Hyde Park Winter Wonderland spokesman said: “We are aware of an isolated incident involving a corrosive substance during an altercation between a small group on Sunday evening, which resulted in a person being taken to hospital.
“Our medical and security staff attended the scene and assisted the City Police in arresting three people that evening.
“The safety of our visitors and staff is our top priority and we do not tolerate violence of any kind.
“We have strong security measures in place, including bag searches, CCTV, on-site security services, specially trained staff to flag suspicious activity and extensive perimeter protection.
“We will continue to support the authorities in their investigation.”
