Daniel Bannister, who killed a man in an attack at a homeless hostel, was convicted of causing the Girls Aloud star “serious alarm” after going to her villa in Buckinghamshire.
Bannister was jailed for manslaughter for 30 months after attacking a man in 2012 who died of his injuries.
The 49-year-old was found to be “exhibiting fixated, obsessive, unwanted and repetitive behaviour” towards Cheryl which he knew would cause her distress.
He was jailed for four months in September for the offense in July and given a three-year restraining order which means he cannot contact Cheryl, enter Buckinghamshire or come to her address.
But in December, he allegedly returned to her home in the country that she shares with seven-year-old Bear, court documents show.
Bannister, of no fixed address, was charged with breaching a restraining order by entering Buckinghamshire on December 10.
It then says it appeared at “an address where you knew or believed Cheryl Tweedy was present,” another separate violation.
Bannister also tried to contact Cheryl either directly or indirectly, which he was forbidden to do.
Bannister pleaded guilty to three felonies in December and was returned to prison ahead of his Jan. 30 sentencing.
In 2012, Bannister pleaded guilty to manslaughter at Kingston Crown Court after attacking 48-year-old Rajendra Patel at a YMCA shelter in south London.
Emotional moment Liam Payne praised son Bear months before singer’s death – saying ‘he’s a lot smarter than I’ll ever be’
After the alleged attack in February of that year, Mr. Patel returned to the hospital on March 9 and died the next day.
The autopsy showed that the cause of death was pulmonary thromboembolism, deep venous thrombosis of the left thermal vein and a fracture of the left ankle.
Bannister, who was 37 at the time, was due to stand trial for murder, but the Crown Prosecution Service accepted a lesser charge of manslaughter.
The two men, who both lived at the shelter, were said to have been in an ongoing argument at the time of the attack.

CCTV showed Bannister punching and kicking Mr Patel in the hostel as the victim walked towards the lift.
The prison of Mr. Bannister, His Honor Judge Nicholas Price said in 2012: “This is a tragic case. When you attacked Mr Patel you did not intend to cause serious bodily harm, let alone cause death.
“But the attack definitely goes beyond one punch, it’s a sustained attack or more or less 30 to 40 seconds.
“It is clear that you are not a danger to the public, but it is inevitable that you must serve an immediate prison sentence.”
He was sentenced on October 9, 2012 to 30 months in prison.
The stalking hell comes after Cheryl had to beef up her security when she performed in 2:22 A Ghost Story in the West End last year.
Her team were said to be on “red alert” after she was left with threatening messages with flowers outside the cinema.
Cheryl’s ex-partner Liam tragically died aged just 31 in Buenos Aires, Argentina after falling from a third-floor hotel balcony.
At the time the Girls Aloud star made the emotional statement, Cheryl previously said: “As I try to come to terms with this devastating event and deal with my own grief at this incredibly painful time, I would like to kindly remind everyone that we have lost a human being.
“Liam was not only a pop star and a celebrity, he was a son, brother, uncle, dear friend and father to our seven-year-old son.
“A son who now has to face the reality that he will never see his father again.”
She added: “Before you post a comment or make a video, ask yourself if you want your child or family to read it.
“Please give Liam what little dignity he has left after his death so he can finally rest in peace.”
In the romance of Liam Payne and Cheryl
By Joanna Kavanagh, Showbiz Reporter
It was a romance that caused a media storm.
One Direction man Liam Payne was just 14 when he met former X Factor judge Cheryl during the show in 2008.
But it wasn’t until 2016 – when the Girls Aloud singer was divorcing her second husband – that the couple got together despite their ten-year age difference.
The couple made their relationship official in May of that year when they appeared at Eva Longoria’s Global Gift Gala in Paris.
In 2017, Liam paid a sweet tribute to his girlfriend by tattooing her eye on his arm.
Cheryl was pregnant at the time and gave birth to a baby boy on March 22, 2017.
She posted a picture of Liam cradling their 7lb 9oz baby on Instagram and wrote: “On Wednesday Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy who looks like a dream.”
A pal told The Sun: “Liam hasn’t left Cheryl’s side during the birth and, like her, is smitten with their new son and can’t wait to take him home.
“It’s the perfect Mother’s Day for Cheryl.”
The Sun revealed in May 2017 that the couple had named their son Bear.
They decided on an unusual name after a week of getting to know each other.
In February 2018, The Sun broke the news that Liam’s constant traveling to promote his solo career had put a strain on the relationship and that the couple were set to part ways.
That same month, Cheryl said “none of it matters” as she brushed off questions about her crumbling romance with Liam during an interview with BBC Breakfast.
They then appeared together at the Brit Awards where they were all smiles on the red carpet, with Cheryl joking about the couple’s ‘safe word’.
However, in July 2018, Cheryl and Liam decided to divorce.
A friend told The Sun: “Cheryl and Liam have worked really hard on their relationship – they had problems earlier this year and they’ve worked through them.
“But they are at different stages in their lives and, after much careful consideration, they have come to the decision that it is best for everyone to go their separate ways.”
Liam and Cheryl released a statement confirming their split, which read: “We are saddened to announce that we are separating. It was a difficult decision for us to make.
“We still have so much love for each other as a family. Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we go through this together.”
