Matt Bushman and his wife Emily Bushman are expanding their family.
On Tuesday, Oct. 29, the former Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 28, and his wife shared a sweet video on social media announcing that they would soon be a family of five.
“Baby Bushman #3 is coming in April! Swipe for a surprise 🤍🤍🤍,” Emily captioned the Instagram carousel. Emily is the daughter of retired tight end Chad Lewis, who played for now Chiefs head coach Andy Reid with the Philadelphia Eagles in the late ’90s.

In another move, Emily added a video of the Bushman family gathered with their loved ones to reveal the gender.
Emily held her little Micah Jane on her hip while daughter Andie Mae, 4, stood between mom and dad.
The pair quickly counted down before their smoke-filled hand props opened up and released a cloud of blue smoke.
“It’s a brother!” Emily shouted excitedly as several people and children standing with them on the outside patio cheered the family on. Andie smiled at the news before her dad took over.
On February 1, ahead of Super Bowl LVIII, Emily posted a TikTok video in which she revealed how she’s “getting ready for the Super Bowl.” She said her two girls will stay with her mother for the Feb. 11 ceremony.

“So two weeks before the players have to sort out all the logistics. The players get a certain amount of tickets to the Super Bowl, and it’s just the two of them competing,” she said as she walked with then-7-month-old Micah Jane, who was sitting in carriers.
“The tickets are about four times what they normally are,” Emily said, noting that each player gets two tickets together, but all other seats must be purchased separately.
After the Chiefs’ victory against the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII, Matt ended his NFL streak. Matt was also a member of the Chiefs team that defeated the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII in February 2023.
“If there’s a great opportunity in the NFL again, I’ll take it,” the former professional athlete told the Y’s Guys podcast in April, per Deseret News. “But after a lot of prayer and a season of reflection, I felt it was time to take the next step and step away from football.”

At the start of the 2023-2024 NFL season, Matt stepped in when Travis Kelce was sidelined with an injury, but returned to the practice squad after Grotesqueness star, 35, recovered.
“Playing the first game was uneventful, but it was great,” Matt continued. “It’s kind of a feeling that you know when it’s time to end it. This is not an announcement of retirement, but I am taking these steps to move forward.”
