Russia fired an intercontinental ballistic missile for the first time, after Ukraine used long-range missiles.
Kiev launched US ATACMS missiles at Russia on Monday, following a long-awaited approval from Joe Biden, and several British Storm Shadow missiles on Wednesday.
Russia warned it would “react accordingly” as the dictator launched Kinzhal – or Dagger – hypersonic missiles this morning in retaliation.
The bizarre moment was captured at a press conference later in the day.
Zakharova answered the call in the middle of a media briefing.
The senior diplomat was heard making the chilling statement, while a press officer stood next to a microphone on the podium.
She said, “Yes. Hello. I have a briefing.”
The man who called her said: “Masha [Maria]hit Yuzhmash with ballistic missiles [defence plant in Dnipro]
“Westerners are talking about it now.
“Don’t comment at all.”

Stunning footage has emerged showing the moment these ICBM missiles fell over the Ukrainian city of Dnipro in an early morning attack.
Unverified videos appear to show several fires around the country.
The cities of Kremenchuk and Myrhorod were also targeted in this strike.
If the use of Rubež is confirmed, it will be the first combat use of an ICBM in history.

Putin has previously warned that he will give the green light to a new nuclear doctrine if Ukraine uses these long-range missiles.
The dictator threatened to use nuclear weapons against the West in retaliation.
Russia has issued countless similar threats in the past, citing fears of possible nuclear escalation.
This nuclear doctrine and the use of ICBMs raised the stakes.
