Chip Gaines has Jason Kelce to thank for inspiring his upcoming Magnolia Network show!
The The upper part of the fixator The 49-year-old star revealed that one of Kelce’s iconic football moments inspired the idea for his show Man vs hamster during a performance on Tuesday, October 22 at Today together with his wife Joanna Gaines.
“It’s the mind of Chip Gaines,” he told hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb of the new series. “I feel like I was inspired. It was maybe six, eight months ago and Jason Kelce rips his shirt off in some stadium. Something about that moment inspired this idea. Hamsters vs. Humans.”

The Bobcat ambassador is probably referring to the January playoff game in which the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills in New York. While his brother Travis Kelce played for the Chiefs, Jason showed his support for the big game by taking off his shirt and cheering along with the fans.
Chip added that since the retired NFL player should really be credited for starting “the whole idea,” he felt he should “throw him a bone” during the episode.

“When I saw him rip his shirt off, I just felt like I wish I was a furrier. I wish I was hairy. Have you ever thought that, ladies?” he joked to Guthrie and Kotb.
Although she didn’t answer, Guthrie expressed disbelief at how skilled the hamsters were at the show.
“Hamsters are so smart,” Joanna agreed, “and they’ve been training. You’ll be very surprised when you watch.”
Echoing his wife, Chip said they were “terribly athletic little creatures”.

The world will be able to see Chip’s finished idea come to life when Man vs hamster starts streaming on November 21 at the latest.
The upcoming show is described as “a cheesy eight-episode competition series where the world’s most iconic pet hamsters take on teams of humans in massive challenges,” according to a press release.

Besides that Man vs hamsterThe Magnolia Network is debuting two more reality shows this fall, including a talent competition series titled Second chance phase and the first series of roller skating competitions, Roller Jam.
