Chiranjeevi Sarja was an Indian film actor who acted in many Kannada films. On 7 June 2020, he died of cardiac arrest in Bengaluru.

Chiranjeevi Sarja was popularly known by the name Chiru. He was born on Friday, October 17, 1980 (aged 39 at the time of his death) in Bangalore, Karnataka. His star sign is Libra. He attended Baldwin Boys High School in Bangalore. He completed his schooling from Vijaya College in Bangalore.

He is the eldest son of Ammaji and Vijay Kumar. His younger brother is named Dhruv Sarja, who is also an actor. Chiranjeevi is the nephew of South Indian actor Arjun Sarja and the grandson of veteran Kannada actor Shakti Prasad.
Relationships, Wife and Children
On October 22, 2017, he got engaged to his long-time girlfriend, South Indian actress Meghana Raj. On April 30, 2018, he and Meghana got married in a Christian-style wedding at St. Anthony’s Church in Koramangala, Bengaluru.
On May 2, 2018, the couple got married in a Hindu ceremony at Palace Grounds in Bengaluru.
When he died, his wife was pregnant with his child.
Profession
Before pursuing acting, he worked as an assistant director with his uncle Arjun Sarja for nearly four years. In 2009, he made his debut in the romantic Kannada film Vayuputra, playing the role of Balu. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Debutant (Male) for the film. He later acted in several South Indian films such as Gandedhe (2010), Kempegowda (2011), Ajith (2014), Amma I Love You (2018) and Sinnga (2019).

On June 7, 2020, he started experiencing severe pain in his chest and around 1.10 pm that day, he fainted while talking to his father on the phone. He was immediately rushed to Apollo Hospital in Jayanagar where doctors declared him brought dead. His last rites were performed on June 8, 2020.
